In the immortal words of a friend: "It's been a while since I updated this bitch." Gotta love the conciseness there. I really haven't felt the need to blog too much lately. And when I do it's mostly LJ. Sigh.

But I'm back for now!

He didn’t see me immediately, so he stepped in a little apprehensively, like you might slowly step into a pool of unknown temperature.
If the pool was filled with acid.
And the acid was inhabited by acid-resistant leeches.
And you owed the leeches money.
(not sure where this is from)

YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*ahem*

I got into the World In Conflict beta. This game is going to be sheer awesomeness. Seriously. On another note, I'm home! Yay! Of course, now I'm probably not going to see most of the other 'fielders for a while, but what the hell. I miss you guys already!

Also, I now have a livejournal. I'm sorry. Posts will remain somewhat identical. Laters!

It looks like win, but it's actually a win/tungsten blend, which is much stronger, by weight, than pure win would be. -Mutales

Busy busy busy. Had family over this weekend, in from Colorado. Good times. Of course, they were here for the two massive family get togethers. Well, one was massive. So they show up Friday night, late I might add, and I'm relegated to the basement. Not that I mind... I've been absorbed in CS: Source and I've grown an umbilical to the fridge. I hit the sac (in the basement on a cot) sometime Saturday morning, only to wake up about eight hours later. Time for more gaming! Then, around rolls 1:30 and its time to get ready ready ready for Oma's birthday. Now THAT was massive... call it 30 aunts/uncles/cousins/soon-to-be-something-in-laws/cousins X times removed... yeah, a big get together. And I got to help set up. Not that it was difficult or anything, it just meant I was stuck in Lawrence and didn't get home until 10ish. Ugh. It was good times though... a new lesson in how odd some of my family members are. One cousin teaches elementary school or something like that, and she has a NOSE RING. She's cool though. Really well traveled too.
Then comes today. I've done NOTHING productive. Well, I played some Neverwinter Nights 2 (good game) and got ahold of some Lost Prophets (love their songs), as well as read more Dune books. Possibly the only series were I could be considered one of those scary knowledgeable fanboys (or at least on the way to it). Heh.

Gotta say though, I've enjoyed it. Except for a few brief existential moments today where I realized that if I do this all summer my life will effectively have amounted to jack shit. Oops.

Man, some good books I've been reading recently. "Crossover" and "Breakaway," as well as the current one, "Shadowfall." Definately VERY interesting. Mainly wanted to post though for today's quotes.
